Ø Our second class of Globalisation and Professional Change was only theoretical. We started with a group work about globalization and internationalization.
The conclusions of our class were:
Globalization: The world is getting smaller, the word can have negative associations - globalization doesn’t always seem to be for the benefit of the different cultures of their differences but for the predominant ones (mono-culture). Statically interaction – dependency between nations on several levels.
Internationalization: The word is connected to the idea of interaction between nations and therefore seems more positive than the word globalization (plural cultures). The idea seems to be based on the idea of learning from and sparring with different other nations/cultures. The concept doesn’t have to be used on a global scale but can be used between two nations/cultures.
But we can see this in the power point that the teacher taught us in class and that is the slide two.
Ø In the other hand, along de class, we did these questions:
- How to become open-minded in the cultural meeting? You have to be open-minded. Ignore your assumptions and be open-minded and tolerant.
- What are intercultural competences? Cultural competences could be tolerance (a total lack of prejudice), cultural knowledge of the object of interaction, and a common language. To show interest in your object. The ability to be positive in your cultural meetings and The ability to reflect on your own culture.
All of this was guide with our teacher in the next power point.
Ø “Teaching internationalization in learning environments today” and “What are the possibilities for a teacher/social educator of today?” are the tittles of the next texts.

Ø Finally, I have to say this: when doing collaborative work (KISS for instance) you need to have a reason for doing it. If not it should not be done. Important words for thought “why” and “what”.

HOW CAN SCHOOLS AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS FOR CHILDRENS AND YOUTH GO GLOBAL TODAY?
Children and young people of today have the culture of the future in their hands. Schools and colleges should teach this people a more open-minded to create a multicultural society, with more dialogue and tolerance.
All learning environments have educators who should have this activity in the society or school, and for this job is important that the educators want to know that things change, that things can change and we have to be motivated in our work to lead by example .

In my opinion, this work is difficult for this reason, because we have to change things in a society that has her ideals and her way of life and there are people that live in this society and they must unite to prevent a breakaway and more superficial society.
