On my first day of class in this subject I saw that this course will take some analysis of situations by all students. Sometimes I also see that my views may conflict with some students because I'm not teaching, I am studying pedagogy and we have different views I think that we think differently.
How does globalisation challenge us as professionals in education?
Today's globalization makes all the politics and economics, and this involves the whole society. Educators must accept that we live in a capitalist society and teach people to live with it but not turn the society into an immoral company. I think globalization is a new stage in history, we are in the age of technologies and we need to know it without forgetting that education can help us to change everything.

- What do you see as the 3 Biggest Challenges in the world today?
I think that if we want change the world, the first thing that we have to change is always education because I think education is the beginning of everything. Young people need more motivation for wanting to study, to be someone and to change the mistakes we have today.
I also think that educators have to create a new mentality, a more open culture to give an opportunity to dialogue and avoid marginalization, racism and war.
Finally, I think that politicians could do many things and they don´t. They should try to combat the problems of their nations, creating greater collaboration and union between them and give more importance to education in their pogram election, which I think is most important.
- How can you work on that as a professional?
As I said before, in my opinion, the education is the most important and we can deal with this problem changing the mentality of the people with whom we work, doing our work seriously and we have to know that we are working with people who can help us in this way.
We must have empathy and teach people that a different world it may be possible, and for this the teachers are very important since childhood.
We should work not only with books but also with moral values.

As individuals the members of group two came up with the following challenges they see in the world today: Lack of education, hunger, global warming, protection from war, racism, vandalism, diseases, corruption, (…)
Out of the above mentioned challenges we face today group two has chosen to focus on the following three problematic areas: The violation of the human rights, the physical and emotional destruction as a result of war and global warming. These areas have been chosen either because of their importance, our ability to actually work with them as professionals or both.
The violation of human rights (millennium goals): The UN has set eight goals which should be fulfilled by 2015. The goals are achievable and focus on areas such as poverty, hunger and education. As teachers we can help to heighten the awareness of this project. We can also help inform about the human rights and why they are a possible solution for some of the world’s problems.
The havoc caused by war: War seems to be a constant factor in the world. Should this be accepted as a fact? We think not. Everywhere war rages there are massive physical and emotional costs. The reasons for war are numerous but there should always be another way to go. As professionals we can help counter the reasons for war. We can educate people to ask questions and to seek information. Teach them that hitting first should not be the first choice, nor should it be the last. Education seems to be the first step in battling ignorance if done well.
Global warming: The international community has set global warming on the international schedule. It is seen possible as the largest challenge for humankind. As professionals we can help inform the people about what science tells us about global warming, what it is and what can be done about it.
